A note from the artist:

My mother, approaching her mid nineties, is requiring more and more assistance in getting by. My two sisters, of whom which I am much older, are determined to see Mom stays in her home surrounded by all the things she is familiar with. They go to great lengths and sacrifice to do so. Their dogged determination to do so reminds me of my wife who is just as determined to see her family always together. One must recognize and respect this tenacity to preserve that which is good…and decent, in this fast changing world.
