R.A. HEICHBERGER
Legacy Gallery Scottsdale
Dick Heichberger was born in Eden, New York and attended the Art Institute of Pittsburgh and Carnegie Technical Institute. After serving in the Marine Corps, he moved to California and spent time residing in Big Bear where he enjoyed his love of the outdoors. During his years in California, he worked in the art departments of Disney, Warner Brothers and Fox Studios. Dick has become very well known for his style of painting luminous landscapes and depicting the wildlife he so enjoys. He states, “A big part of creating a beautiful canvas is being able to paint from my heart and my mind, not relying solely on reference material but being able to impart the emotion I feel for a particular scene.”
His inspiration comes from the beauty of the terrain and the wildlife of the desert and canyons of Arizona and the mountains of California, Wyoming and Colorado. His work encompasses a unique harmony and a simplicity of subject matter. One is left with a feeling of peace and beauty.
