Joan Zygmunt began her professional artistic career around 20 years ago. Joan is comfortable and skilled in wood, stone and bronze, producing wonderfully detailed sculptures that depict her favorite subjects–birds and flowers. Her work has been exhibited and won awards in such prestigious shows as Birds in Art Show at the Leigh Yawkey Woodson Art Museum, Sculpture in the Park, the C.M. Russell Art Action and Ward Foundation World Championship. Often combining her love of painting with her sculpture, her work expresses a harmonious and graceful quality that has been described as “poetry you can touch”. Joan is a wonderful artist very skilled at capturing her vision and emotional base in the three-dimensional form.
